Washington likes circuses, and Wall Street prefers bread. Perhaps that’s why the capital markets are a lot calmer than the Capitol these days. Stocks have been marching steadily higher, bond yields have drifted lower, and volatility has all but disappeared. But how long can this placid period last?
That’s the question put to the members of the Barron’s Roundtable in its mid-year update, which included Bill Priest, CEO and co-CIO Epoch Investment Partners.
