Grant Samuel Funds Management appointed a new head of institutional business and head of retail distribution.

Taking on the newly-created institutional business role, Charles Levinge joins Grant Samuel from Franklin Templeton, where he was senior manager, institutional sales. Before that, he was head of business development at MMC Asset Management, and has held roles at PwC, Westpac, AMP and Clayton Utz.

New head of retail distribution Stephen Fletcher, meanwhile, was an internal promotion. Fletcher joined Grant Samuel in 2008 and was most recently state manager for Victoria and Tasmania.

Both Fletcher and Levinge will oversee distribution for Grant Samuel’s four local and international fund manager partners – Epoch Investment Partners, Payden and Rygel Investment Management, Tribeca Investment Partners and Triple 3 Partners – to their respective investor groups.

“These senior appointments will ensure GSFM maintains a dedicated focus of senior staff on servicing clients in the institutional and the retail space,” Grant Samuel head of distribution Damien McIntyre said.

“In line with our business growth goals, GSFM now has funds under management in Australia of $6.4 billion, made up of $4 billion from institutional clients and $2.4 billion from retail clients, and we are on track to expand on this during 2017.”
