Equities house Tribeca Investment Partners has recruited a pair of analysts to work for Jun Bei Liu’s long/short strategy.

It is understood Tribeca has picked up Angus Wright who was formerly Charlie Aitken’s right-hand man at Aitken Investment Management and a portfolio manager for Aitken’s global long’short equity fund.

Tribeca has also hired Tom Cutler, who joins out of Credit Suisse’s investment banking team and previously worked in the Swiss bank’s equities research unit.

The two men are expected to report to Tribeca founder David Aylward and Liu, who runs Tribeca’s well-known Alpha Plus Fund.

The hires come after a busy few months for Liu, who took over sole portfolio management responsibilities earlier this year following the departure of Sean Fenton.
